It is in the same style as the Louvre’s famous full-figure Ares Borghese . Griffins, dogs, and a sphinx decorate Ares’ helmet, but the sphinx mohawk is a 19th-century reconstruction based on similar depictions of Ares that has since been removed from the Munich...
