Original creator description
This is my DIY version of a popular indoor kitchen hydroponic system. Its great for growing herbs, greens, small vegetables, starting seeds, and propagating plant cuttings. The base can fit a container up to 170 mm by 260 mm. Containers, with lids, this size are available at dollar tree. Another option is food packaging or any kind of small plastic tub. I would recommend you paint the container and lid in a color you like, leaving a strip or window available by which to monitor the water level. In the lid, make an array of holes that are 37 (1.5") in diameter. You can use a hole saw, a spade bit, or even just cut them out with a utility knife.
