Fan Shroud for Zortrax M200
Exact, almost "replica" of the M200 lower fan shroud. I just measured and modeled it. I have not printed one yet so I do not know if it needs any tweaking. I was trying to make a different one but there is very limited space so I abandoned the idea and just left it stock. This way you can make it in a custom color if you want. Let me know if it requires any modifications.I have added a LH version for an additional fan at Trhuster's request. This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.

E3D hotend groovemount for i3 with RepRapPro miniextruder
This is a part that mounts on the 30mm spaced holes on your Prusa i3 x-carriage ( https://github.com/josefprusa/Prusa3/blob/master/single_plate/src/x-carriage.scad ). It has a two-part groovemount hole sized to firmly grip an E3D hotend ( http://www.e3d-online.com/ ). It has holes to bolt on a RepRapPro miniextruder ( the original source ). Together, they seem to work pretty well! You need 2x 20mm bolts for the groovemount hotend clamp, with nuts. You need some bolts with short heads (pan head) bolts to fasten it to the x-carriage. Magnetic PCB Holder OpenSCAD
Based on thing the original source which is based on thing the original source I wanted a fully parametric OpenSCAD version. It's simple and the STL I uploaded is for a 26x13x3mm magnet. I printed two and they hold well. If you try to print the wall thickness under the magnet, it'll bulge too much and cause the bottom to rock (not good). Having just used this, I would recommend that the grooves be deeper and thus the thickness be greater too. This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.
3 Switch Plate for MendelMax
With LED lights and a fan for ABS, my printer needed several switches for +12 DC supplies. In case of problems, I also wanted a DC switch to turn off the RAMPS board, just in case. Switches from RS or local auto store have LED light inside (red, blue, white or green are available) and rated for 10 amp load. This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.

Replicator Dual Fan Mount
Quick'n dirty fan mount for the Replicator Dual. Designed for a 40mm fan (the opening is 40.4mm side to side). The long plates (bottom and back) are 1.5mm thick the thickness for other ones (fan casing) is 1.2mm. Unfortunatelly, the walls are thin and their thickness is not parametric, they can break easyly: "todo" list. I'm using a taped piece of cardboard to close the thing: "todo" list. The air exit is big, far from where is supposed to be and it is not ducted, that can have some negative impact: "todo" list. And so on, and so on, and so on... for the "todo" list, don't be surprise if there's no much progress in the work for a while, I may even just uncheck the WIP flag and let it like t... Cap for Lumix G Fisheye 8mm f3.5 lense
This is a lense cap designed for the Panasonic Lumix Fisheye lense. Because it is a fisheye, the lense cap holds by friction only. If you lost your cap, like I did, this will probably be very useful. Print the stl file directly of modify the original openscad file if needed. Notice that the scad file has a "tolerance" parameter which you can increase/decrease if the cap is too tight/loose. I obtained a very good fit printing at 0.2mm resolution on a mendelmax 2.0. I guess printing in black would be ideal for this model... This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.

Flexible Tube POC
Quite a wild test I wrote to try out Taulman's 618 Nylon (I would also love to give it a try using Ultimaker's Flexible PLA). I got the Nylon just a couple of hours ago and I still need to tune tons of things, 1st impressions are very promising! Some of the pictures show another test printed using PLA as material. In that test the "slope degrees" was set to 25degs (65degs overhang) I also got acceptable print quality with 20 degrees. I'm trying many (too many) new (to me) things here so I better keep it short. More details in the instructions. This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.
Parametric Stick Geometry Generator
This is an OpenSCAD script that facilitates making objects that consist of connected line segments. I wrote it because I wanted to print out a model of tesseract sculpture I had made in a welding class. I had a list of coordinates and wanted to be able to easily turn that into an STL. Replacement foot for couch.
The foot of the couch broke while moving it. This is a replacement. I attempted to optimize it so that it did not use a lot of material, yet would still be strong. Created with Autodesk 123D. Still tweaking the geometry. The taper holding the top spindle was supposed to add lateral strength, but it has not been successful so far. This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.

simple 3 bottle holder for essential oil
A simple holder to hold 3 bottles of essential oil properly in place in the wooden box it was delivered in, instead of the somewhat ugly solution provided by the vendor. Uploaded a v4 which is 1/2mm larger in diameter. (dcomp in openscad file changed from -2 to -1.5) because it is just to small for some bottles. Update 1: fixed scad file Update 2: added second scad file and STL for a holder for 6 pipets This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.
Simple Rounded edge chunky Container
Built this to put the lettuce in in the fridge (as in the lettuce that comes with the roots still attached). So basically a vase for lettuce in the fridge. Put a feature on one corner just for shits and giggles (and a tiny bit extra stabilisation I guess?). This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.
Castle BRAVE ALLIS! Good for testing slicing
This simple and mini castle is a cool thing for testing slicing. I find the castellations are tricky to get to print. on an UP! printer, I managed to get the castellations to print in some orientations and not in others. Same with a Replicator. It looks pretty cool when printed too. Prints in about 20 minutes on average settings. This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.
Printrbot PLUS V2 Top Stiffener Bracket for M8 hardware
This dead simple and nifty bracket slips on (very firmly, may need some fettling) the top of the 2 x 12mm smooth rods on the Printrbot PLUS V2. It's designned to take a length of M8 threaded rod and M8 nylock nuts in the recesses. You then want to use a plain or nylock nut on the other side so you can adjust the amount of "push" the brackets give on the smooth rods. The additional hole up the top you can drill out and use as a filament guide or bolt something else into it. I found the distance between the smooth rods between the bottom and top differed by about 5mm on the Printrbot PLUS stock. This caused the X rods to shift as it went up the axis. This bracket allows you to adjust this so... This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.

100% printable spool holder (standing or attachable to Rep2 & Cube2)
I got tired of the multiple, awkward spool holders that have poor angles and friction which frequently "slip" and make noise (leading me to come check on my print every 3 min). I designed this multi-spool holder in blender that is thin enough to support all standard spools, and those spools now float [almost] frictionlessly behind the printer. It's also 100% printable! NOTE: You must print these together! (that's why the only files I submitted have both parts). Otherwise the long rods that print at the end print too fast and deform because each new layer starts printing while the previous couple layers are still warm and deformable. I explicitly laid them out the way they are so that the pr... This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.
K8200 Spool Holder, OpenSCAD
Holder for 1kg filament spools. Can be assembled without loosening any screws, just put both halfs over the spool holder axle and slide the spool onto the holder. Does not need a ball bearing to work. V1 has (optical good looking) holes, but takes longer to print. V2 is solid and works as well. Printed with PLA and 25% hexagonal infill. You could make different holders by adjusting the provided OpenSCAD script. This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.

Replicator 2 and 2X LCD Plate
My Replicator 2 front panel looked unfinished with a shaking LCD module attached only on two short headers. I decided to create a front plate in order to hold properly the LCD module down to the connectors and to have better look. Ipod Nano stand
I made this Ipod Nano holder, originally for the 1st generation, for wall mounting next to a stereo with auxiliary input. It's made to hold the Ipod with a silicone cover, so it might be a bit big for a naked Ipod, and needed a bit of filing to work with the cover. The bottom is open so the ipod can be removed without taking out the cables. I used this model to learn Freecad , so don't expect too much in the design! Apparently 7th generation Ipod Nanos fit too. Truncated Icosahedron / Buckyball for vex robotics competition 2013 ready to print
This is the resized version of the truncated icosahedron from this link ( the original source ) that was resized to have the distance of 5 inches from a pentagon face to the opposing pentagon face so it fits the requirements for the Vex Robotics Competition 2013 game Toss Up. The program used for resizing this .stl file was the netfabb Basic from http://www.netfabb.com . This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.
Alto(+8) recorder, cylindrical bore
This is an alto recorder with standard (English) recorder fingering. Unlike recorders of the baroque era onwards, this recorder has a straight bore. This instrument is pushing a point, the straight bore and big holes mean that it requires big hands! However the tone is distinctly different to a recorder with a tapered bore, and more like a Western concert flute. This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.
Weeping Yogi
original source appeared to be missing a weeping yogi, so I found one belonging to a coworker, scanned it using 123D Catch, and cropped it into a printable result using meshmixer. Unfortunately, the original carving is absolutely tiny (that's my average-sized thumb next to it), so the resulting scan is a bit low-detail. In retrospect however, I'm quite amazed that details such as the fingers and ears were captured at all! If anyone else uploads a weeping yogi (scanned or original) that contains more detail, it would make me quite happy! After all, it seems like a good base-model to have around, either for serious applications or for making absolutely bizarre mashups. :) This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.
The Adafruit RFID Breakout Board Wand for MakerBot
UPDATE! I apologize! I uploaded the wrong back-end model yesterday, and just realized it last night when I tried to print it! :o I've uploaded the right models now, tested and working as of Tues 5/21/13. :) This is a wand/protector for the Adafruit RFID Breakout Board that I'm using in my RiderScan project: http://www.adafruit.com/products/364 It's one of the best RFID/NFC breakout boards around, and since I'll be using mine in a Horse Barn environment, I needed an enclosure that could stand up to wear and tear, as well as be functional and easy to use. This is my 2nd attempt to make such an enclosure using Blender and my trust MakerBot Replicator - I have ideas for a 3rd design in the work... Flexible holding hose
Update: ok at least in PLA i think they're not good enough to hold some angle as they are. Maybe in ABS/other materials you tighter versions have more grip. The idea is probably workable at least as attachment strategy in PLA too. Update: see my deriv , for it aimed more at attachment strategy. They’re basically two hollow spheres, except with one has slots in the side so it can flex to shrink, this makes them easier to fit together with larger allowed tolerances on size.(easier to print) They’re not actually a hose like for water. There are plainly holes in it.(though if at the right angle wrt gravity, it doesnt seem to come out) I made it with the idea that it’d still move but hold... Soprano(+8) recorder, cylindrical bore
This is a soprano recorder with standard (English) recorder fingering. Unlike recorders of the baroque era onwards, this recorder has a straight bore. The recorder is an advanced instrument capable of producing a refined and brilliant tone, and considerable chromaticism at the expense of a complex fingering scheme. Plain tweezers
Dastardly simple tweezers, easy print too.. Took two iterations to get right anyway. Pretty surprising how few (plain)tweezers there are on original source. If i'd do a third iteration i'd make the front opening wider, so bigger things can be picked up, plenty of flex anyway. I do kindah expect it to be inferior to metal tweezers, not sure though. Leveling Locks for Printrbot LC
These four locks grip the leveling thumbscrews of the Printrbot LC to prevent undesired rotation as the build platform jiggles in operation. I recommend a dab of hot glue on the heads of the leveling machine screws (under the Y carriage) to keep them from rotating. This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.
Support calibration test
If you like my work I hope you'll consider supporting me on Pateron: https://www.patreon.com/3DPrintingProfessor Subscribe to me on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/mrjoesays It's just a sphere, the sort of thing that shouldn't print without supports, so you can test supports. This is the sort of shape that no matter what I try does not print well. If anyone can give me some pointers how to make this work I would be so grateful. In the picture on the left is a sphere I started printing without supports accidentally, and on the right is the sphere and the supports that printed it. Sadly, there's very little difference between the two even after adjusting the settings according to /thing... This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.
Improved Tripod Holder for MS Lifecam

Helvetica Question Mark Coat Hook
Great for hanging your cool weather wearables. This is my first creation in the realms of Rhino/3D print - great learning experience! The idea is to create a series of hooks out of various punctuation marks (commas, exclamation maks, etc.) so perhaps I'll revisit this later on in the semester to expand and refine. Toilet Seat Bumpers
These bumpers replace deteriorated originals on a Mayfair toilet seat. The gallery photo shows a deteriorated original on the left, and printed replacement on the right. Generic bumpers on offer in a hardware store mount with an adhesive backing, not the more robust pins-in-holes scheme of the original. Generics are also twice as thick, and have an ugly round half-sausage shape. This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.
Screw cap for UP Printer heating plate screws (remix)
Thing #4113 is still fiddly to undo, so I decided to make it easier to use. This bolt knob is larger and has improved geometry to grip on with the fingers. This design also makes it easier to use as the screw head is fixed on the other side of the knob comparing to the thing #4113, minimizing the risk of breaking off while being tightened. Because screw comes through the whole length of the thing there is no need to use epoxy to secure the screw. One drop of super glue is enough. And when you do it up it will only become better. Unfortunately, It takes longer screws. I used 1 inch long M3 screws with hex socket head 5mm in diameter. But these are standard and easy to get. Hope I just made w...
