Heat tower (190-240) Container

If you have multiple rolls of filament used with a 3D printer then it's important to know the printing characteristics of each roll. A heat tower is a record of those characteristics. This container is designed to be a close fit for the Heat Tower (190-240) 5mm steps by Akiland. It will preserve the shape, printing defects and strings produced by the printing process for future reference. It is designed specifically for the heat tower by Akiland. Because this is a very close fit you should print the container using the same type filament used for the tower. The container fits in the center hole of the filament roll for storage. A peal and stick envelop label works well to document the infor... This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.

3-bit Mechanical Punch Card Reader

This is a proof-of-concept, 3-bit Jacquard-style, all-mechanical punch card reader. The design was inspired by designs in a textbook called "The Mechanism of Weaving" by T.W. Fox (it's about 100 years old, but I found a copy on Amazon), and adapted to work within the limitations of my Makerbot ToM printer. It is a single-cylinder, single-acting, positive-action device. This design could readily be adapted to a higher number of 'bits' (needles) by re-designing only a few parts. With minor modifications, it should be suitable to mounting over a miniature loom, with the bottom eyes of the hooks lifting healds or warp threads directly. This is probably as impractical as it sounds. This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.

PiKon Telescope

The PiKon telescope is a 4.5" (113mm) reflecting telescope which uses a Raspberry Pi camera to capture images. Update: We've just designed a new bracket so that you can use Pimoroni's Ninja Pibow as the Raspberry Pi case. We think the Pibow is a great looking product and the Ninja version is a cool smokey grey / black. Although you can use other colours. You can download full instructions here: http://www.dropbox.com/s/fzpx2jpfo1kbolu/PiKon%20Instructions%201.2.pdf?dl=0 All non-3D printed parts and kits are available at: http://www.PiKon.online And our blog is here: http://www.PiKonic.com This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.

G-Clamp fully printable

Small G-Clamp fully printable without support. Additional a larger frame and screw is provided which adds another centimeter. The protector can be reused for the larger clamp. The screw has a fair amount of space, so it should fit without problems into the frame screw hole. Should anyone still have an issue let me know and i can provide an additional version. The best way to mount the protector is to use the clamp itself by closing the clamp until the screw ball and protector ball joint clicks together or use your thumb. For my requirements i used only 25% (~3 hour print) because i need just to hold things in place while the glue is drying. For more force 100% infill is recommended and don'... Venus Box

Original design as a challenge to develop a unique opening box. When done, resembled one of Bender's eyes. A co-worker said it looked like a Venus Fly trap, so named it "Venus Box". A cam actuates 4 doors by rotating the spherical cover (or base). Remains securely open or closed. 4 inch diameter, the whole thing snaps together, and prints without supports. Print Cam at 0.3 or lower, with 2 shells and 20% infill. Print Cover at 0.3 or lower, 2 shells, 20% infill. Print the doors at 0.2 or lower, with 3 shells and 20% infill. NOTE: Trim the triangular nuggets off the door hinges, they're only there to help the build. Slide the doors together, posts go into the hooked holes, don't snap these t... Clip Stand (Customizable)

Very simple adjustable stand for tablets, smartphones, e-readers, clipboards, or similar flat rectangular objects. Just slide the clip up or down to adjust the angle of the screen. Can also be used as a handle, or hand strap. Create the stand by adjusting the parameters in the customizer. The length of the clip should be significantly shorter than the length of the device so it can grip the sides securely. The amount to reduce will depend on the type of plastic, and the dimensions of the clip. PLA will give a stronger grip for the same design but it tends to weaken over time. The default customizer settings are for the small tablet clip. It may take some iteration to get good settings for e... This hosted file keeps creator credit and license details.
